Community Service & Engagement

I believe that serving Lamar County means being an active, accessible presence in our community—not just during campaign season, but every day. Over the years, I've worked to support the organizations and causes that make our county strong.

I work closely with the Paris Economic Development Corporation to help attract new businesses and economic opportunities to our area. Bringing good jobs and growth to Lamar County isn't just about policy—it's about being willing to make the case for why our community is a great place to invest and do business.

As a supporter of our local Historical Society, I attend board meetings and participate in special events that help preserve and celebrate our county's rich heritage. Our history matters, and I'm committed to ensuring future generations can learn from and appreciate the legacy of those who came before us.

You'll also find me at fundraisers supporting our local law enforcement and community members in need. Whether it's helping a family facing hardship or backing the men and women who keep us safe, I believe we're strongest when we stand together.

And yes, I've been known to judge a chili or barbecue cook-off from time to time—it's one of the perks of community involvement, and a great way to connect with folks while supporting local causes.

This is what public service means to me: showing up, listening, and being part of the fabric of our community.
